Working With Homeowners From Start to Finish
Efficiency Vermont’s ZEM Program works with prospective home owners, start to finish, through the process of getting into a zero energy modular™ (ZEM™) home. Vermod is currently the program’s only partner builder. Although Efficiency Vermont works with any and all prospective buyers, the ZEM Program has a special focus on serving mobile home replacement customers and low-income homeowners.
Efficiency Vermont program staff:
- Offer model home tours and one-on-one initial consultation
- Connect homeowners with partner organizations that provide homebuyer education, incentives, and financing
- Advocate on behalf of homeowners in talks with lenders, mobile home park owners, and ZEM builder
- Provide training and ongoing support for homeowners during the move-in process and first few months in the new home
